Delivery of your Vehicle
If you have chosen terminal to terminal shipping, you will be required to pick up your vehicle from the car transport company storage facility, and if you've opted for door to door shipping you car will be delivered near your address, if not at your doorstep. In both cases it is extremely important that you inspect the vehicle thoroughly for any signs of damage before accepting delivery from the auto transport company and signing the papers.
Check your car thoroughly and from all angles. Look for scratches, dents and other signs of damage on the surface.ÜTo make the delivery process easier and hassle free, remember to take pictures of your vehicle from all angles before handing it over for shipping. This way you have evidence of the condition of your car at the time of delivery. It also helps if you note down the mileage reading of the car at the time of loading. Major increases in the mileage reading should not exist.
Once you have received the car from the auto transport company look under the car for leaks. Start the car to ascertain there is no engine damage. Only when you're 100 percent satisfied that your car is in perfect condition should you sign the release papers.ÜIf you notice damages, your auto transport company will help you with the process of filing a claim. Also remember to file with your insurer as soon as possible.
